Shared Prints

Question : I would like to know if it is possible to share a printer via a Bluetooth connection. I have already installed two MSI USB Bluetooth dongles on each of the two computers. The PC's can communicate with each other and have no problem sharing files. I have tried sharing the printer via the usual method but Windows XP fails to detect the printer through the Bluetooth connection.

Answer : It is possible to share a printer over a Bluetooth connection. The only prerequisite is that the printer has to support a Bluetooth module. An example would be Canon's iP 6210D. It is simply not possible to share access if the printer is connected directly to a PC. This is because Bluetooth is considered as a wireless USB interface. It doesn't operate the same like Wi-Fi where devices of different specifications can communicate with minimal limitations.
