OpenOffice to Vista

Question : I want to download OpenOffice to a Windows Vista machine, but the system requirements I saw only listed XP. How can I find out if it will work in Vista ?

Answer : In fact, the just-released OpenOffice.org 2.2 ( www.openoffice.org ) does support Microsoft's new operating system.

But the lack of a specific statement of Vista support should not necessarily spook you; it may only mean that the vendor hasn't updated its posted system requirements.

What you want to watch out for are warnings against running a program in Vista, either from an application's developer or from its users -- something that a simple web search along the lines of "(program name) Vista" could find.
